The present is embodied in Hexagram 36 - Ming I (Darkening of the Light): It will be advantageous to realize the difficulty of the position, and maintain firm correctness.
The second line, divided, shows its subject, in the condition indicated by Ming I, wounded in the left thigh. He saves himself by the strength of a swift horse and is fortunate.
The third line, undivided, shows its subject, in the condition indicated by Ming I, hunting in the south, and taking the great chief of the darkness. He should not be eager to make all correct at once.
The sixth line, divided, shows the case where there is no light, but only obscurity. Its subject had at first ascended to the top of the sky, but his future shall be to go into the earth.
The situation is shifting, and Yang (the active masculine force) is gaining ground.

The future is embodied in Hexagram 41 - Sun (Decrease): If there is sincerity in sacrifice, there will be great good fortune, freedom from error, firmness and correctness that can be maintained, and advantage in every movement that shall be made. In what shall this sincerity in the exercise of sacrifice be employed?
The things most apparent, those above and in front, are embodied by the upper trigram K'un (Earth), which is transforming into Ken (Mountain). As part of this process, docility and receptivity are giving way to stillness and obstruction.
The things least apparent, those below and behind, are embodied by the lower trigram Li (Fire), which is transforming into Tui (Lake). As part of this process, brightness and warmth are giving way to joy, pleasure, and attraction.
