Today's I Ching for Edward Norton
The coins have been tossed...

| The present is embodied in Hexagram 16 - Yu (Enthusiasm): In this state, feudal princes and other delegates may be set up, and the hosts put in motion, with advantage. | | The first (bottommost) line, divided, shows its subject proclaiming his pleasure and satisfaction. There will be evil. | | The second line, divided, shows one who is firm as a rock. He sees a thing without waiting until it has come to pass. With his firm correctness there will be good fortune. | | The third line, divided, shows one looking up for favours while he indulges the feeling of pleasure and satisfaction. If he would understand! If he be late in doing so, there will indeed be occasion for repentance. | | The fifth line, divided, show one with a chronic complaint, but who lives on without dying. | | The situation is changing rapidly, and Yang (the active masculine force) is becoming much more powerful. |

| The future is embodied in Hexagram 43 - Kuai (Resolve): It is required that the culprit's guilt be exhibited in the royal court, along with a sincere and earnest appeal for sympathy and support, with consciousness of the peril involved in cutting off the criminal. He should also make announcement in his own city, and show that it will not be well to have recourse at once to arms. In this way there will be advantage in whatever he shall go forward to. | | The things most apparent, those above and in front, are embodied by the upper trigram Chen (Thunder), which is transforming into Tui (Lake). As part of this process, movement, initiative, and action are giving way to joy, pleasure, and attraction. | | The things least apparent, those below and behind, are embodied by the lower trigram K'un (Earth), which is transforming into Chi'en (Heaven). As part of this process, docility and receptivity are giving way to strength and creativity. |
