	The first card, the significator, is placed in the center of the cross. This card represents the prime energy manifest in your life. Five of Wands (Strife), when reversed: Pointless struggles motivated by the vain pursuit of recognition, financial reward, or base desires. Disunity, chaos, and petty quarreling at a time of crisis. A stressful situation that brings out the worst in the participants.
	The second card, placed above the significator, represents Air. It describes your spirit, process of thought, and the influence of reason. Eight of Coins (Prudence): Dedicating yourself fully to a task. Learning a new craft or skill. Applying painstaking attention to detail. Industriousness and the efficient completion of tasks. Sticking with a project long enough to see it through.
	The third card, placed to the right of the significator, represents Fire. It describes your motivations, creative energies, and the influence of passion. Three of Coins (Works): The commencement of business, commercial transactions, or employment. The constructive use of creative talents, and the expression of artistry in workmanship. Skill and labor turned to the crafting of things of value. Using the conventional as a medium for expressing the exceptional, in order to build something of great renown and glory.
	The fourth card, placed below the significator, represents Water. It describes your emotions, meditations, and the influence of love. Cancer, when reversed: Moodiness and passive aggression, easily triggered by obsessive territoriality. Behaving in an overemotional and clingy fashion. Inability to let go of people and things.
	The fifth card, placed to the left of the significator represents Earth. It describes your physical presence, position in life, and the influence of the material world. Nine of Swords (Cruelty), when reversed: Mental anguish or ill health endured and overcome. Refusal to be dragged down by the dishonor of others. Attempting to avert a shameful or regrettable act. Faithfulness, patience and unselfishness. May indicate the narrow avoidance of a death or other catastrophic loss.
	At this point the cross is complete and the triangle is formed. The sixth card, placed on the bottom left of the triangle represents one of two opposing forces. Scorpio: A determined and forceful spirit, full of power and passion. An exciting and magnetic personality fueled by fiery emotions. Conversation that is direct and to the point, casting the world in black and white.
	The seventh card, placed on the bottom right of the triangle represents the force that opposes the bottom left card. These forces may be external, but they are frequently one's own inner archetypes in conflict. Ace of Coins, when reversed: The seed of luxury, debauchery, and physical gratification. The seductions of the material world draw you away from an opportunity for stability and comfort. The need to focus on the practical and understand the dynamics of your environment. May represent a gift, document, inheritance, or physical event.
	The eighth card, the reconciler, is placed below the cross in the third vertex of the triangle. This is the force that will resolve the conflict between the bottom left and bottom right cards. By meditating on this force and bringing more of it into your life, you can bring the matter at hand to a swifter conclusion than would naturally occur. Pisces, when reversed: Escapism and blind idealism. Being crippled by your own beliefs. Vagueness and secrecy. Weakness of will.
	The ninth and final card, placed in the center bottom of the triangle, represents the final outcome unless you change course. Charity, when reversed: Kind and charitable acts motivated by vanity or desire for personal gain. Using a position of good fortune to make someone less fortunate dependent on you. Ill-conceived good intentions that make matters worse. A second chance with an expectation of failure.
